چکیده

Abstract. We present a new publicly available daily gridded dataset of maximum and minimum temperature precipitation data covering the whole territory Slovenia from 1950 to 2018. It represents great variability climate at crossroads between Mediterranean, Alpine continental climatic regimes with altitudes 0–2864 m a.s.l. completely reconstructed (quality control gap filling) for three variables 174 observatories (climatological, automatic stations) original records all over country. A comprehensive quality process based on spatial coherence was applied dataset, missing values were estimated each day location independently. Using filled series, grid 1×1 km resolution 20 998 points created by estimating temperatures (minimum maximum) precipitation, as well their corresponding uncertainties point. In order show potential applications, four indices two calculated describe distribution (1) absolute temperature, (2) number frost days, (3) summer (4) intensity (5) consecutive dry days. The use information, complete high allowed an accurate estimate that precise temporal in Slovenia. Development and analysis of a 50-year high-resolution daily gridded precipitation dataset over Spain (Spain02)

In this paper we present a new publicly available high-resolution daily precipitation gridded dataset developed for peninsular Spain and the Balearic islands using 2756 quality-controlled stations (this dataset is referred to as Spain02). The grid has a regular 0.2 (aprox. 20km) horizontal resolution and spans the period from 1950 to 2003. Different interpolation methods were tested using a cro...

Constructing Retrospective Gridded Daily Precipitation and Temperature Datasets for the Conterminous United States

This paper presents and evaluates a method for the construction of long-range and wide-area temporal spatial datasets of daily precipitation and temperature (maximum and minimum). This method combines the interpolation of daily ratios/fractions derived from ground-based meteorological station records and respective fields of monthly estimates. Data sources for the described implementation over ...

Resolution Errors Associated with Gridded Precipitation Fields

Spatial-resolution errors are inherent in gridded precipitation (P ) fields – such as those produced by climate models and from satellite observations – and they can be sizeable when P is averaged spatially onto a coarse grid. They can also vary dramatically over space and time. In this paper, we illustrate the importance of evaluating resolution errors associated with gridded P fields by inves...

An update of Xavier, King and Scanlon (2016) daily precipitation gridded data set for the Brazil

The objective of this work is to present an update to the daily precipitation gridded set developed by Xavier, King and Scanlon (2016), where the previous dataset is namely v2 and the new one is v2.1. The v2.1 gridded data uses 9,259 rain gauges relative to 3,630 in v2. We also extend the period of the gridded data by two years (v2.1 is from Jan/01/1980 to Dec/12/2015 while v2 is from Jan/01/19...

High resolution global gridded data for use in population studies

Recent years have seen substantial growth in openly available satellite and other geospatial data layers, which represent a range of metrics relevant to global human population mapping at fine spatial scales. The specifications of such data differ widely and therefore the harmonisation of data layers is a prerequisite to constructing detailed and contemporary spatial datasets which accurately d...
